Therizinosaurus never had to use its gigantic claws against Triceratops: neither of them was carnivorous and they lived in different periods.

The very apt name Triceratops means three-horn skull; the head of this mighty dinosaur had three horns and a huge neck shield. All this probably served to defend against attacks. The Therizinosaurus impressed with his enormous, sickle-like claws, which he probably used to defend himself, not to hunt, for he was an herbivore.
